As parents we think a lot about how to make our house safe but what about teaching our kids how to be safe. You and I both know that we will not be able to watch them 24/7 and they need to know how to act and what to do and not to do in dangerous situations.
I have found some great picture books that help your child learn how to be safe while having fun looking at books. Check them out the links below.

I recently found out as many parents before me have that their children are the best baby proofing consultants. Babies quickly show us what we should put away, lock up, or safe guard.
But there may be a better way . . . baby proofing before your baby is able to get into all your stuff. I recently found a Child proofing checklist on BabyCenter.com and wanted to share it with all of you so that you can be a little more pro-active than I was.

If you have a Stork Craft crib you will want to make sure it is not one that is being recalled.
As of Jan 13 2009 more than 500,000 are being recalled because of the possibility of entrapment and suffocation.
All cribs that have been manufacturing and distributed between May 2000 and November 2008 are included in this recall.
Make sure you keep your baby safe and get the replacement parts for this crib if you have it.
